WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
Wayyy in the East Village with three of my best pals!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN YOUR CURRENT PLACE?
It's actually my first apartment—I moved to New York in August after graduating! I moved in the day before I started HHH. It was such a crazy amazing week!
WHAT’S ONE THING EVERY BEDROOM SHOULD HAVE?
Sconces above each side of the bed! They are super convenient and provide the best light, both first thing when you wake up, and also while reading at night.
WHAT’S YOUR BEDTIME ROUTINE?
I am terrible at staying hydrated so I make myself drink whatever I am in the mood for—usually Peppermint Tea or Apple Cider Vinegar + Cayenne in hot water! I'm a big vitamin and moisturizer gal so those happen without fail. I'm also a religious nighttime showerer—hate getting into bed with the day on me!
WHAT PUTS YOU TO SLEEP RIGHT AWAY?
My dad gave me Margaret Thatcher's The Downing Street Years about 8 years ago, and it always does the trick. It is 914 pages, and I've gotten through about 60 since middle school.
WHAT KEEPS YOU AWAKE?
WHAT’S ON YOUR BEDSIDE TABLE?
With the way my room is set up currently, my bedside table is a vanity, so it is more like what isn't on it! Key bedside table ingredients for me though are Jo Malone lip balm, Lollia Peony & White Lily hand cream, and a porcelain ring dish that was my grandmother's.
WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO IN THE MORNING?
Coffee has been the first thing I think about in the morning for as long as I can remember. I've had it since elementary school, but my mom would only let me have it in tiny espresso cups. I didn't mind because they had adorable saucers.
CURRENT BEDTIME READING?
The Last Great Dance on Earth, part of a historical fiction series about the life of Josephine Bonaparte!
WORKING WITH THE DREAM TEAM
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HILL HOUSE HOME PRODUCT?
WHEN DID YOU JOIN THE DREAM TEAM?
This past August!
WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE YOU JOINED?
I graduated from SMU this past May where I studied Art History, Fashion Media, and Studio Art. Throughout college I had an array of internships in interior design and fashion, but this is my first real job!
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON RECENTLY?
One of the more fun tasks I'm working on today is helping Nell with influencer gifts!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OFFICE SNACK?
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO OFFICE ORDER?
I'm pretty particular so I usually bring a salad from home, but if not I almost always get soup from Juice Press! Nell got us all addicted.
TELL US ABOUT A NOTEWORTHY HILL HOUSE HOME MOMENT.
It has been such a whirlwind since I arrived! In the few short months I've been here we've moved offices, opened up the store, launched our first line of tabletop linens...the list goes on! It has all been surreal and exciting—I am so lucky to have joined the team when I did!
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A JOB IN YOUR FIELD?
I care a lot about company culture and fit, so that has always been a priority for me! I spent a lot of time thinking about what type of company I wanted to work for and their employees, rather than just what my actual day-to-day job would be. That being said, I think keeping an open mind is key to finding a job in a creative field!
WHAT DID YOU LEAST EXPECT WHEN YOU STARTED?
It has been very interesting for me to learn how much human involvement there is, even in e-commerce! I never really thought about the process from my computer screen to my doorstep—realizing how many people are involved is crazy.
RAPID FIRE FAVORITES
Hotel? Boca Raton Resort & Club—because of childhood memories!
Midnight Snack? Tootsie Rolls.
Breakfast? Kelly Leveque's smoothies.
Sound to fall asleep to? The ocean (but for real, I cannot stand sound machines).
Best night’s sleep? After a "backpacking" trip through Europe.
Worst night's sleep? Anytime I have an early morning flight!
