The Lace Ellies are so beautiful in person. They look just as beautiful as the photos and fabric feels so soft and supple despite being lace which can sometimes feel scratchy. A couple reviews said to order your true size as the lace looks better with less stretch, so I ordered my true size (L) and the dress felt very large and constantly slipped down as I tried it on with a satin slip underneath. I also have a 36E chest, but the dress still felt large to my liking. I'd recommend getting one size down from your typical size, especially since these aren't lined underneath. Overall I would highly recommend - they are gorgeous dresses and can be dressed up or down! Just make sure to order one size down from your true size or your typical Ellie size!

Just received my Ellie in Lilac Ikat Sateen and I gotta say that I am so impressed by the fabric and structure of this dress. I own about 7 other Ellies and this one has impressed me the most by far! I understand the price difference on this dress much more after receiving it. The fabric feels a little heavier weight than the cotton sateens from the summer '23 collection, but perfectly silky, smooth, easy to dress up or down, and comfortable for everyday wear. The smocking is the perfect length for me (I'm a 36E chest and I feel it gives me enough coverage to my liking). At the time that I purchased, size M was sold out (my usual Ellie size) so I purchased an L (my true size) and it fits great. A little looser than my medium Ellies, but the difference is not significant, though I would stick with a size M in the future. Overall, the fabric and structure of the dress feels a lot higher quality than some of my other cotton Ellies. Please keep making Ellies (and other dresses) in the cotton sateen! It is divine.
