The Aster Nap Dress

It was love at first sight for this dress - as soon as I saw the chocolate brown and navy plaid version on the Meadow & Mount line sheet, I knew I needed to have it. It just came in and it’s just as stunning on as I hoped it would be! Was worried it would be a little small based on some reviews and that the sleeves would be too wide since I have broader shoulders and a larger bust, but I got my true size and it fits perfectly. Not too tight at all! She’s like Scarlett’s cool, slightly mysterious older sister with the subtler sleeves and slimmer skirt. Perfect color/print for fall, and a gorgeous Thanksgiving dress! Hill House you’ve done it again!

I really like this dress a more streamlined version of the Scarlett (the one time I tried to add a Scarlett to my closet, my husband asked "Are you auditioning for Oklahoma?") - the sleeves are less puffy, the cut is more sleek, and the ruching is quite flattering - I also *love* the double bows. However...this print didn't do much for me. It felt too wallpaper adjacent and the cream had a bit of an odd undertone. Hopefully they bring this back in other prints down the road - it felt like a sleeker nap dress in the best sense of "you can nap in it".
