The Fiona Dress

I am an AVID Hill House fan...it truly is my favorite brand. And of all the Hill House pieces I own, this one stands out from the rest. It is absolutely stunning. The fabric is a bit heavier than the Hill House traditional cotton, but it falls so beautifully on my figure. I am normally a size small in Hill House, but I sized up in this dress to ensure it had that perfectly tailored fit. The adjustable straps also help make the dress fully custom to fit me best. This dress makes me feel beautiful. The Fiona dress is completely worth the hype!

Let me start by saying that this dress is so unique. The structure of the twill is phenomenal and feels very chic. I wore this for fall family photos and felt beautiful in it. With that being said, the sizing is a little off. I normally wear a size S Ellie (sometimes XS depending on fabric) and street size S or M depending on the brand. I took a L in this dress. Granted, I am currently nursing so my boobs are a little larger than normal, but there's no way I could have squeezed the girls in a M. Even in the size L, the stitching area in the bust is SMALL. I had both underboob and cleavage action simultaneously happening which, if you're modest like me, had me constantly tugging on the dress. Additionally, the belt around the waist was way too long and there was no cute way to secure the excess - I may just have to cut it or replace with a different belt. The color is also cooler and slightly greener than the online photos depict.

Overall, this is a beautiful dress and I will have it altered when I'm done nursing so that I can wear it with confidence. It is very well made, classic and will likely become a staple in my closet when I can get the fit just right.

I have a chest. Couldn't wear the dress with bows--in any of my sizes, basically. This one's different. It fits. Everywhere. Great design. Sculptural. Very flattering waist. Bra-like top. And I'm wearing over a dirndle-like top, too.

More colors, please, for holiday. And in a dark, stretch denim?
