Saw another review that said to size down. I recommend the opposite, and the sales lady at the store also said a lot of people size up because of the tightness around the arms and the scoop neck. I usually wear a medium, but got a large for more comfort in the sleeves.

Absolutely beautiful dress! The print is gorgeous and the fit is so flattering and feminine. I usually wear a size M but I sized down to an S and it fits perfectly. If you want a more defined waist I definitely recommend sizing down. The smocked bodice is comfortable and flattering and I can’t wait to wear it on my birthday ! 🤎

I feel like they took all the feedback on Louisa and used it to make Madeline the perfect dress. I usually size down to a small in the Ellie and Scarlett but I stuck with my usual size medium for Madeline and I'm glad I did!
The bodice is a smidge tighter (I think due to the contrast smocking) than the Louisa and the skirt is a bit narrower. The sleeves no longer fall off the shoulder as the neckline is a bit more scooped and it has stretch all the way around to keep the dress up! It is tricky to wear a normal bra with as the back shows the band but I have tried it with balconette bras that sit lower and had no issues. It has a similar length to the Margot, maybe a smidge shorter. It's a great casual dress for both the weekends and the office!
