The Margot Mini Dress

After checking multiple times per day to see if the dress was back in stock, I was able to get the long-awaited Margot Mini Dress. The dress didn't disappoint and was well worth the wait. I didn't realize the description mentioned pockets, so I was pleasantly surprised that the perfect dress was even better than imagined. I will be wearing the dress as a tunic, with jeans and flip-flops. The dress in size small fits like a glove, maybe a smidge tight in the chest area (65" tall, 34C, 114#) for reference.

For the price I expected the dress to have a lining underneath. I’m only 5’3 and it’s a little short for my liking. Other than that the print is beautiful and well made. Unique with the placing of pleats. Hope in the future. They will incorporate this feature of lining that could elevate the quality of the dress

Have been waiting forever for this to cole back in stock. Sadly, it was a major no. Too thin with no liner and so puffy.

I was worried that this would be unflattering because of how high the bodice hits, but because it’s not an empire waist it’s actually quite flattering and pretty.

My measurements are 36-27-33 and the medium fit well. I think if you’re half an inch larger than me in the bust, you could be fine too. Strangely, I had issues with the Margot (maxi) in navy trailing fern being much too large in the bust while also being a medium.

This was my first purchase from Hill House and I am so impressed with the fit, print and design of this dress! It fits me perfect and is so flattering. It is modest and classy, while still accentuating my curves. It is true to size - ordered a medium and I’m 5’7”, 150lbs, 36C bust. Great quality, too! I am looking forward to wearing this out in Nantucket and Cape Cod this summer! It’s great for my trip to Italy as well. I really hope they come out with more prints in this Margot mini style, as I would love to have multiple of these dresses!!!
