I bought this dress to dance in during my reception. It’s beautiful and has the perfect skirt for dancing and twirling (wonderful volume and weight). However, it has a couple of issues that I wasn’t anticipating and will require some work to make it wedding day appropriate. While the skirt is lined, the fabric of the lining is still very sheer and see-through. It will definitely require a slip to avoid accidentally flashing your in-laws. The bodice is also see-through. Even a nude colored bra is somewhat visible. Additionally, the blue ribbons, while gorgeous, are made of a very thick fabric which makes tying bows a bit difficult. It’s doable, but required multiple tries to get them to look polished and not sloppy. I’m hoping some sort of slip dress or slip skirt/stick on bra solves the sheerness issue. I’m honestly a bit disappointed that it’s not truly lined. I was hoping for an easy, non-fussy dress to slip into for the end of the night, not one that will require this kind of thought and attention. I’m still keeping it because at the end of the day it’s lovely. I just wish it had been more obvious that it was this sheer when I bought it.
